      Unlike modern mass production jewelry, ancient Chinese jewelry is a well-curved and natural work that a craftsman spent months or even years to make. Compared to their exquisite skills, what’s more amazing is their rich imagination and extraordinary creative spirit. The accessory of these ancient people are absolutely unique, exquisite and magnificent.

      Humans were born with a love of beauty, so they began to wear beautiful shellfish around their necks and heads as early as the upper paleolithic period (about 20,000 years ago). Some of them may take it as a amulet besides beauty. With the development of economy and culture, the kinds, materials and processing technology of accessories are constantly developing, and their functions are also changing. Different regions and different ethnic groups gradually form different styles of tradition, which makes the study of jewelry become more and more meaningful so that the public pay more attention to them.

      This course will introduce to you all kinds of ancient Chinese jewelry, including hair jewelry, ear jewelry, wrist jewelry, waist jewelry, belt jewelry and other accessories. The children will  appreciate various Chinese jewelry in different periods, and draw their favourite one to feel the beauty of jewelry.
